Stories with Soul - Alexandra Berezkina
From the Alma en Pena team we want to share with you the new section "Stories with Soul", stories that move us and touch our Soul.
Alexandra Berezkina, 21 years old, is a classical ballet dancer at the National Opera of Ukraine. Her passion for this dance came when she was very young. After attending a classical ballet performance with her mother, she fell in love with the delicacy of each movement of the dancers, their costumes, the pointe shoes, the light and crystalline art of the dance and the applause of the audience at the end of the performance. At that moment she knew she wanted to pursue her dream and become a professional ballet dancer.
So it was, Alexandra graduated from a professional dance school in Kiev. Those were very hard years in which she had to sacrifice her childhood, train every day and work on herself to achieve her goal.
Her first professional opportunity appeared and it was in a big way, she entered the Ukrainian National Opera and what seemed difficult in her studies was something simple once she stepped on the stage. For her ballet is her air, she cannot live without it, every time she hears the final applause of the audience she feels that all the work, the tears wasted in every rehearsal, the effort and sacrifice has not been in vain.
On February 24 she woke up to the bizarre sound of explosions, her dream vanished, she had to leave Ukraine and come to Spain where she is now teaching classical ballet to children and adults in Murcia. She shares her knowledge with them and waits for everything to be over to return to her country with her family, get back on stage and expose her soul to the audience.
