Stories with soul - Alexandra Berezkina
From the Alma en Pena team, we would like to invite you to participate in the new section "Stories with Soul," stories that move us and touch our souls.
Alexandra Berezkina, 21, is a classical ballet dancer at the Ukrainian National Opera. Her passion for ballet began when she was very young. After attending a classical ballet performance with her mother, she fell in love with the delicacy of each movement of the dancers, their costumes, their pointe shoes, the crystalline and luminous artistry of the dance, and the applause of the audience at the end of the performance. At that moment, she knew she wanted to pursue her dream and become a professional ballet dancer.

That's right, Alexandra graduated from a professional dance school in Kiev. Those were very difficult years during which she had to sacrifice her childhood, train every day, and work on herself to achieve her goal.

Her first professional opportunity came along and it was a big one: she joined the Ukrainian National Opera, and what had seemed difficult in the studios became easy once she was on stage. For her, ballet is her lifeblood; she cannot live without it. Every time she hears the final applause from the audience, she feels that all the work, the tears shed during each rehearsal, the effort and sacrifices have not been in vain.

On February 24, he woke up to the strange sound of explosions, his dream vanished, he had to leave Ukraine and come to Spain, where he currently teaches classical ballet to children and adults in Murcia. He shares his knowledge with them and waits for everything to be over so he can return to his country with his family, get back on stage, and expose his soul to the audience.
